14th March marked the National Symposium meeting which took place at Maseru Avani Lesotho. The National Symposium on Community-Led Monitoring (CLM) brought together key stakeholders from the Ministry of Health (MOH), civil society organizations, and development partners to address policy level issues on CLM needing National attention to improve quality of service rendered to service consumers.
The symposium highlighted the power of community-driven data in shaping healthcare services, ensuring accountability, and fostering collaborative solutions. Discussions centered on:
✅ Strengthening CLM for continuous healthcare improvement.
✅ Enhancing partnerships to sustain CLM outcomes and service delivery.
✅ Addressing healthcare supply chain challenges at both national and sub-national levels.
✅ Embedding CLM within Lesotho’s health system for long-term impact.
We showcased our work in data collection and advocacy, particularly in addressing the healthcare needs of Adolescent Girls and Young Women (AGYWs). The symposium reinforced the urgent need for improved healthcare coordination, and stronger advocacy efforts to enhance service quality across all facilities in Lesotho.
🚀 The Way Forward: Strengthening CLM integration, fostering stakeholder collaboration, and ensuring healthcare remains inclusive, data-driven, and community-centered.
